Clean, good quick stayover in Guangzhou

NOTE: The hotel is no longer called Dongzhi but rather Green Tree Inn (I think it got bought and renovated by this chain in recent years) I just needed a place to stay overnight before catching an early morning flight from Baiyun Airport (Guangzhou's airport). Speedy free airport shuttle service, nice driver, nice and adequate front desk staff. Room was nicer than expected given past reviews. They must be used to guests like me because they immediately offer wake-up calls. There is a street of restaurants, fruit stands, bakeries, and convenience stores a few blocks away -- convenient quick meals. I would stay again and recommend if your purposes are like mine!

good for 1 night only, if you are in a rush /cheap

bought room with bathtub, but there was no bathtub, transportation to the airport was done in a mini bus build for 5 people - but when i had to go, i had to sit in this bus with 14 people - or no transportation. AC cant handle the room - will not cool the room. Staff speaks only Chinese.

這是騙人的賓館, 千萬不要book, 當我到達白云機場, 正想打的去, 但酒店堅持有師父來接, 但當師父車到, 告訢我們賓館裝修, 要轉到其他酒店, 但結果去了間沒有WIFI, 沒有冷氣的公寓, 氣死, 太可惡, 懷疑是把客人買給別的公寓, 很離諧

希望業者能檢討改進

號稱有機場接送, 但我4/18有訂房, 因班機延誤, 半夜12點抵達白雲機場時, 既無等候接送的車輛, 幾次打電話到飯店櫃台, 都沒人接听, 迫不得已, 只好坐機場巴士到市區投宿, 似此服務品質, 能令人恭維嗎? 我的名字叫 謝元度, 來自台灣, 沒有任何污衊之意, 只是希望業者以後能檢討改進.

価格をおさえつつ、空港までの送迎付きで泊まれるホテル

送迎依頼をファックスとメールで連絡しましたが返答なしでしたが、広州到着後、ピックアップの場所がわからず空港のフリーフォンで連絡するとピックアップが１時間間隔ということにも関わらず、すぐに来てくれました｡ 一泊しかしていませんが、ホテル内で外国人の私が困っているとスタッフすぐに気付き助けてくれました。 ホテルの目の前はコンビニがあり、ベーカリーショップも数件あり、二、三分歩くと屋台があるようでした。 夜に到着しても食料の買い出しができて良かったです。

Bad arrangement on airport pickup.

Booked this hotel because it offered free airport pickup. Arrived about 12.50 am but there was no meeter greeter. Had to call them & they insisted that I give them my mobile no. for their driver to call me. Ended up buying a phone card for CNY100 which was apparently overcharged by the airport staff.

広州白雲空港のとなりの人和駅が1番近い駅だが、歩いていくのはちょっと距離がある。またGoogleマップに表示される場所が実際の場所とずれているので、歩いていくのなら事前に確認を。

Pour aller à l'hôtel, j'ai fait le choix de prendre le taxi. On peut appeler une navette gratuite mais 2 min de téléphone portable avec mon abonnement français coûte aussi cher qu'une heure en taxi. J'ai donc pris un taxi à l'aéroport. Le chauffeur ne savait pas où était l'hôtel. Nous nous sommes donc perdu plusieurs fois. Évidemment, il ne parlait pas anglais donc la discussion fut compliqué. Les plusieurs fois où le chauffeur s'est arrêté pour demander sa route , il prenait mon téléphone sur lequel était écrit l'adresse de l'hôtel mais personne ne savait où il était dans le quartier. Finalement après une heure de taxi (5€), je suis allé dans un hôtel où un réceptionniste, qui parlé un peu l'anglais, m'a indiqué où mon hôtel se trouvait. Sinon, l'hôtel est correct, très chinois. Par contre, pour eux qui veulent aller à l'aéroport, la navette gratuite y va toutes les heures.

일단 가격이 저렴하고 공항 근처에 있고 무료 송영서비스를 제공합니다. 저처럼 지하철, 버스가 끊긴 시간에 도착하는 분은 이미 선택의 여지가 없는 것이구요. 다만, 중국어를 못하면 과연 무료 셔틀 버스를 이용할 수 있을까 하는 의구심은 듭니다. 방은 청결하지 못하지만, 이상하게 나쁜 느낌은 아닙니다. 주변이 조용한 편이고 작은 수퍼가 바로 앞에 있어 당장 필요한 물건을 구입할 수 있습니다. 지하철역까지 걸어서 갈 수 없지만, 매시간 출발하는 셔틀 버스를 타면 해결 가능하구요. 공항까지는 10분 정도 소요됩니다. 광저우 공항은 새벽에도 혼잡합니다! 자정 넘어 도착했다면 택시 탈 생각하지 마시고 가까운 호텔을 이용하세요! 제 생각에 중국어를 못해도 공항 출구를 말할 수 있는 능력(?)과 센스를 가진 분이라면 이용할 수 있습니다! 호텔 자체 평가는 2점, 전체 평가는 후하게 4점! (5점 만점)

Bad Choice.

The promised shuttle bus from the airport was impossible to find. The reception staff at the hotel were no help at all, one girl spoke a little english but did not seem to want to be bothered. A bad part of town nothing like the website promised. I would definately never stay there again.

It's a mixed bag. Upon arrival. the hotel receptionist just came down from her room looking dead tired. I was stuck at the airport for four hours at 1 AM waiting for the shuttle bus. I decided to walk not realizing that the hotel is about 8 kilometers from the airport. Another hotel van picked me up as I was walking from the hotel and overcharged me 20 Euros for a 5 kilometer ride. I felt tired and in a bad mood when I got there. I tried to tell the receptionist my plight but she could not understand any English. All the staff can not speak English other than simple sentences.

Stets mit einem lächeln unter echten Chinesen!

Vorab ich ich bin nicht gerade Anspruchsvoll, daher werden Überraschungen schöne Überraschungen. Kurze Nähe zum Baiyung International war von Vorteil, mitten hinein ins Sammeltaxi, 100 Yuan der Fahrer fuhr, seine Frau nahm das Geld entgegen, allgemeines Gelächter! Im Dzongi Hotel an der Rezeption, keiner wusste Bescheid, als sie hörten Expedia da war frohes Nicken und positives Geschnatter mit den 3,5 Woertern Englisch! Kein Problem, kurzes Einschecken der Personalien, 100 Yuan Kaution kassiert ( Morgen gabs die wieder zurück) und ab auf Zimmer in Begleitung. Man stelle sich vor wie in alten kommunistischen Zeiten in Moskau oder Prag der 80iger, pro Station neben den Lift die Theke fehlte nur noch die Stationscheffin. Dementsprechend das Zimmer, Standart wie vor 20 Jahren, sehr Sauber, Doppelbett nicht zu hart noch zu weich. Das Bad mit ein paar Funktionsproblemen (Dusche), Abfluss, was will man erwarten! Und jetzt Abends im Januar mit gerade 3 grad über Null ins Getümmel. In der Strasse das wahre chinesische Leben was kein. normaler Turi mt bekommt, Markt, mehre Gechaefte offen, kleine und grosse Restaurants, tolles Staunen mitten unter Chinesen, neben an auf dem Platz grosses gemeinsames tanzen, Jung und Alt, lachen und zufriedene Gesichter! Anschließend im Hotel eigenen Restaurant preiswert und gut gegessen mit Händen und Füssen erklärt nach Salz, es klappte weil ich beim Koch mit kucken durfte. Es gab zwar auch Froesche, ich nahm lieber Rindfleisch mit Gemüse, ein Bier!

air condition

No heating during winter...means all rooms are morgue cold. But don't despair as you can switch on the cold air condition :-) The staff were pleasant and helpful by providing their own office "sunny" heater, rather than blow heater. So the room was brightly lit throughout the night....and it was difficult to sleep. Also the mattress is as hard as the morgue stone floor. So please be prepared to bring your own blow up mattress. Other than that the shower was warm and plentiful.

near airport , free pickup

dongzi otel claimed that they did not receive notification fr hotel.com . therefore no room fro 3 of us , so we were checked into another apartment converted to hotel which is on top of some shops & 800 meter away .only 2 beds , no extra bed even we are willing to pay , so no choice , but joined the 2 beds to accomodate 3 persons . door lock spoilt , when go out next morning , door canoot be locked

トランジットには最適、但し行き方に注意

ホテル自体は綺麗、快適とは言い難いですが、普通に宿泊する分には何ら問題ありません。 ホテルのすぐ前には深夜まで開いているスーパー、コンビニ等もあり大変便利です。 私は翌日のフライトに備え、トランジットの目的で空港より近いということで宿泊しました。 問題は広州空港からホテルまでの交通手段です。 たまたま広州空港に着いたのが深夜であったため、交通手段はタクシーしかありませんでした。 （ホテルに電話すれば迎えにきてくれるという情報もありましたが、広州空港が広すぎ、待ち合わせポイントがわかりにくそうであったため、タクシーで行くことを選択しました）。 広州空港のタクシーは近場は行きたがりませんので（というかほとんど乗車拒否）覚悟はしていましたが、案の定タクシーの運転手と揉めました。運転手は「そんなホテルは知らない」、「ここで降りろ」と言い、私は「途中でそんなことを言われても困る、とにかく行け」と散々揉めたあげく、50元で手を打ちました（メーターで行けばせいぜい20元ぐらと思います、タクシー運転手は何回もホテルに電話して場所を聞いていましたので、本当に知らなかったようです）。 何とかたどり着きましたが、深夜は要注意。行き方は事前によく調べておいた方がよいです。

Nice airport pick-up service

The hotel and room itself are not really brilliant. The room was clean but the A/C was really weak. The airport pick-up and drop service is excellent. I called the reception from the airport exit gate and the bus was 10 min. later there. The hotel is located in a pure Chinese neighbourhood with small shops and restaurants, so if you don't speak Mandarin, you need to point or grab what you want to buy or eat. To get some sleep instead of spending 13 hours layover at the airport it was good and price wise a real deal.

Excellent Hotel to Stopover

Thea ttention of the front desk employees is great thet speak good english, and they provide free shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel and vice versa, from the airport make sure to get out from the gate # 6 to catch the shuttle bus, at the hotel you can tell the girls in the front desk the time that you want to be waked up and the will call you to ensure that you get awake on time to get the shuttle bus and did not miss your flight.
