"We got a message from the hotel on WhatsApp that our room was not available. I messaged back through expedia and got no response so i assumed it was a scam. When we arrived, we were told no rooms were avaliable. They made arrangements with the hotel next door for us to stay. We didnt have time to look for another hotel so we accepted. We had breakfast included with the hotel and that was not offered at the new hotel. It was a dingy old place. When we asked about breakfast, the lady,padmini, said breakfast was available at the other hotel. She just wanted to take our money but didn't care about whether we were provided the service. Next morning we came back to the hotel to request the room we had paid. The only good thing about this hotel is the "

The Sri Lankan food was bland and the food left much to be desired for. Although the food was well presented the flavours were lacking. No menus options, very limited juice options, most things are chargeable. Nothing was really offered. Staff responded to requests but had to ask for everything. Was disappointed. "

"Do not deal with this lodge. We originally booked 2 nights. Due to terrible circumstances in Sri Lanka, we couldn’t make it on the first night due to flooding and access to the lodge. The next day, the lodge told us again not to go there as it was still not clear and unsafe. Therefore, I requested a refund like the day before because it wasn’t our choice not to visit, but the lodge. Since this, there has been no reply to emails or refund requests to explain. Terrible. "

"The biggest thing that strikes you is the lovely stunning environment and very villa as its gated with 24 hours security. We felt at home. The two caretakers are simply warm helpful and very professional. The neighbours were helpful . I had such a wonderful stay! 🌟 The space itself was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. I felt a warm welcome upon arrival, which instantly made me feel at home. The stunning surroundings were the perfect for a relaxing stay, and every detail was taken care of and clean lovely showers clean.The wall hangings decor amazing. "Staff extremely helpful - ordering transport, giving advice, checking you had everything you needed. This is far away from Kandy which is good if you want quiet and beautiful views. The plunge pool is a nice touch and means you can relax whilst taking in the surroundings. Pickme can be tricky in Kandy with drivers cancelling trips. Or they arrive, cancel you trip and try to renegotiate another price and as not everyone wants to drive that far you can’t be picky. The breakfast at the property was very tasty - English and Sri Lankan options. I had dinner there too. Unfortunately the cut of beef they chose should be slow cooked but it wasn’t and therefore was fatty and chewy. However the curry and rice were very tasty. NB this property does not have a lift and some rooms are up more than 60 steps from the ground floor, which is also up some steps as it is built into the hillside."
