"It’s a very quaint hotel in a medieval town. I would highly recommend staying at the hotel and in the town of Bacharach. It was very romantic. The rooms have been renovated fairly recently. Amenities are very limited in the hotel and town. There’s no pool or hot tub. But they do have a nice breakfast buffet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is no elevator and the rooms are on the second or third floor so be prepared to carry up and down your luggage."

"We stayed in the "Comfort Double Room" part of the hotel, and the place was far from 4-star superior quality. It felt like an unmaintained 1980s relic with unpleasant red shag carpet and almost zero soundproofing. The room was objectively dirty and hazardous: Hygiene: There was active mold on the bathroom ceiling and in the shower grout. The toilet had a visible brown biofilm build-up under the rim, and the water faucet was covered in heavy limescale. Expired Food: I found coffee creamers that had expired over 100 days ago (Dec 2025) and minibar chips expired by two months. Security: While we were out, housekeeping took an active key card from our room without explanation. We had to go back to the desk to reprogram everything because we didn't know who had it. Service: Breakfast service was incredibly slow; it took a very long time just to get a coffee. Management provided a partial discount after I showed them the photos, but a refund doesn't fix these health and safety issues. If you book here, be very careful which wing they put you in."

"Really good, but with a bunch of annoyances. Cleaning staff is intrusive, even though could hear me talking. Clothes iron is a small room that you get to share with other guests. "

"The owner Paul is very friendly and hands on with the operation. Room we had was big for 4 people. Breakfast was included in our price and was excellent! We thought pricing for accommodation was fair for what you get. The only negative we had was poor WiFi connectivity/ strength. "
