You get what you pay for

Very basic vietnamese hotel, i think often used for โ€œmeetingsโ€œ of couples, condoms are available in the bathroom. We booked the hotel just for having a room at daytime for our luggage and for a short relaxing time. the taxi was not allowed to come to the hotel directly because of road construction work, but the old man of the hotel was very nice and helped us (rest of the hotel crew was not really interested). Bed VERY hard, bathroom with old Cigarettes on the window

Wouldn't go back.

If you like smelly bathrooms, little hairs on your sheets, a hole in your 1 towel (+ 1 small hand towel), no WiFi signal in any of the rooms (lobby + hallways are okay), dogs barking at you in the lobby, disgusting bathroom mat, soap that comes in sample packets, and readily available condoms then this is the place for you. Bottled water is also overpriced. It is however close to the bus station, they do rent you motorbikes (for a markup compared to local ads), the younger guy speaks English well enough, and they were willing to let me switch rooms (for better WiFi although all floors had barely any signal after looking at one or two per a floor), AC works well, and there is a TV. Not all rooms have a desk for your laptop so beware of that as well. There are better options in Haiphong in the same price range. They just aren't online.
