A good backpacker guesthoues

It is an old styl chinese guesthouse for backpackers close to the trainstation. Its good to get Informations and meet other travelers. It is safe and the staff is very correct. I will come again.

ハジャイにおける定宿になった観があるが、やはり、鉄道駅、スーパー、コンビニ等が徒歩圏内という立地の良さが一番の要因。日本語の情報ノートもあるし、Wi-fiも問題ない。シャワー、トイレの設備がイマイチか。

鉄道駅から近く、立地がよい。大きめの部屋で、トイレ、シャワー付き。ただ、扇風機の状態がいまいちだった。 少し古いが、日本語の情報ノート数冊あり。

良くあることですが、過大な料金表示で客の予約を誘う。　キャンペーン中、普段６００バーツ、半額なのでネッ ト予約。行ってみるとその半額の３００バーツが標準料金。　毎度のパターンです。　つられちゃうよ。 ここも同じ。部屋汚い、蚊が多い、ただ安いから客は来る。

Budget guest house with central location

The Cathay Guest House is a bit of an adventure. The squat toilet did not have the "bum gun" hose as those in Malaysia do, and was quite narrow, so hitting the target was a challenge., and clean up inevitable.The bed I must say was firm like a slab of concrete is firm. No hot water for your shower. The fan was plenty of cooling even without any aircon. The breakfast at Cathay was excellent and cheap. Having coffee, tea, and fruit available was terriffic. The front desk was A+: helpful and very pleasant. I must say that for the price paid I did feel Cathay delivered a good value. The hardest thing to me was the cold shower. Bring your own handtowels I'd say, and maybe a bath sponge. The location was A-OK, though we did no touristic stuff at all. If I do a Hat Yai visa run from Penang I think next time I'll book a more upmarket hotel with hot water and a conventional toilet.

Get what you pay for

This was a decent place to stay for one night. The bed was very firm and wifi was slow also the bathroom could be updated. The location was great and very easy to find, near lots of shopping and places to eat. Overall you get what you pay for.
