"Room must have formerly been a smoking room. Musty odor, probably from the carpet, doors, and other unreplaced surfaces. Not well cleaned around beds. Curtains do not cover windows well. Multiple large dead bugs in the room that show they are not vacuuming well. Bloody fingerprints by the window? This is a motel. The "office" is completely empty except for an attendant behind plexiglass. He was friendly, but the rooms still need significant work to be a comfortable place to stay."

"The room was clean despite a musty smell. Check in was a breeze. The AC units are new, and they had to send maintenance up twice to make the rattling stop on the one in my room. After the second time, I asked if there was another room available and the manager John was very snippy when he told me they were sold out. Overall the experience was okay, the management staff should really take a breath before they talk to customers like that. The maintenance man was the nicest staff member I dealt...

"Lovely hotel with great breakfast."

"Okay for a one night stay in order to be near family we were visiting. Room smelled musty, bathroom was good sized and seemed clean but room itself felt a bit shabby. Front desk staff member when we checked in was polite enough but not friendly and seemed like she didn’t want to be there."

"I have stayed at hotels offering free breakfasts before, but by comparison, those free breakfasts couldn't hold a candle to what ChefRobert at the Holiday Day Inn Express BDL, put on! The eggs were fresh, cooked to perfection, the bacon fresh, crisp perfect! In fact, everything was excellent and beyond expectations! Hats off to Robert, for an excellent culinary experience"
