"Location is excellent, close to all shops & restaurants. parking onsite close to your unit. View was very good. Staff & Quin were excellent! the only drawback, with our one bedroom sea view, it was extremely compact. Not much room to store luggage or hang clothes. The larger units with full kitchen are another preferred option. I was able to see one, if you require more room book the larger units. It most certainly served our needs. Laundry is available at a charge. I recommend this property for sure, thanks Quin for accommodating our extra night! "

"The ocean was visible from my second room. The pool was excellent. When we were looking for a place to stay we were attracted by the pictures but there were quite a few bad reviews. We decided to try it for one night. We were very pleased with the room and pool. Wanted to stay one more night as a result. We had to move rooms but the staff made it easy and were so friendly."

"Poor wifi, no soap in one of the bathrooms, dirty washer /dryer with no washing powder. Restaurant closed for dinner, reception closed at night so we could not report the rowdy crowd having a party until 3:00 am. "

"Good check in was the only highlight. The room was very musty and smelt during the whole stay. We had to leave the ranch slider open to air out the place. The bed was extremely old and very uncomfortable. Could not recommend at all."

"This hotel is tired and dated. Whilst the staff make every effort to be great hosts the whole venue lacks any wow factor. The walls are damaged and marked - rips out of wallpaper. There are no lifts so you can expect to carry your own luggage up the stairs. My bathroom was full of hair when I arrived, I asked for it to be cleaned. The manager sent the trainee from the restaurant up to clean with a microfibre cloth - at 10pm they arrived with a vacuum. Dinner was a shambles - ordered a Medium Rare steak - it was medium well, served with YELLOW broccoli and 'bubble n squeak' was mash with cabbage mixed through. To compensate for the state of my room I was offered breakfast complementary - declined. Beds are comfortable, showers need a deep clean to remove all the mold from the edges. Disappointing venue and should not carry the Distinction Branding - no comparison to Christchurch. Management should invest in the whole venue. Expensive accomodation for what received"
