"Room was ready on arrival early afternoon. Staff at reaction check in which is inside the pub were polite and friendly. Explained everything regarding the parking and breakfast times etc. Room was clean and tidy. I had a room overlooking the carpark which I liked as I could see the car. Stayed as line female for a family funeral and I ate in the pub in the evening with other family members. Service in the pub was good they were friendly fussing over the dachshunds we had. Food was good albeit compared to where I live expensive but I guess that’s a regional thing. I used Meerkat discount which made it more reasonable. Would recommend and definitely stay again. "

"The hotel is comfortable , staff attentive and the room was spacious and quiet. I bought and paid in advance for a continental breakfast which I assumed would be a bit more than one bowl of oats, an orange juice and a coffee. Any refills were charged extra as were fruit, toast or croissants. It all seemed a bit mean and I don’t think anyone from ‘the continent ‘ would have recognised this as being ‘normal’."

"Room was clean and staff was helpful but our see view room was disappointing the first room was on an incline so ask to switch as I could not sleep with my head facing down and in both rooms the so called sea view was a very small window that was in one corner that you had to stand up and get in front of it to see the sea and the rooms was very small and the window let in very little light and we had to have a light on in the middle of the day ! My sister had a room facing the marina and her room was twice the size and these big beautiful big windows that let in a ton of natural light . In my opinion the sea view room is not worth the extra money!"

"When we checked in the Climate Control was not working correctly and the staff moved us to a new room. The problem was that the room had no climate control either and it was absolutely freezing in the room. The hotel staff was nice and admitted they were having problems with climate control system and said it would be fixed on Monday which is was not. The grout around the tile in the bathroom was missing and the shower hose separated from the shower head. The hotel did repair the shower on the Monday, however, Monday, it happened again. The hotel was a nice property but just need a little extra TLC."

"Didn’t quite realise how ideally situated it is to the tunnel to France Staff very friendly and helpful, particularly with directions to the terminal We had a meal of an evening which was more than nice enough and breakfast as well, which is well presented and laid out fine selection plenty enough for the road"
