"Visiting Brussels on a family holiday (5 year old child), I picked this hotel primarily based on location - having been before I knew it was perfectly situated for exploring the city centre and minimising walking distance for my daughter.
The other reason I opted for this hotel is due to it having air conditioning - I despise a warm room at night, so this is important to me. Unfortunately this is the reason I have given the hotel only 3 stars - whilst it does have air conditioning, it is centrally controlled, which might as well mean no air conditioning. It was only 23/24 degrees outside but the hotel room was like an oven, opening the window isn't an option because it's incredibly noisy at all times (live music, drunk tourists, traffic, delivery vans, etc), so I did not sleep well at all. This unfortunately seems to be something a lot of hotels are doing now in an effort to go 'green'... that's fine but they need to stop claiming to be air conditioned.
I would probably have rated lower based on this alone but the staff were fantastic, especially those working in the bar/restaurant, and particularly when they were interacting with my daughter, they are a credit to the hotel.
Another issue I had was with the windows in the room, from a safety perspective. The windows open fully and have no outer bars/guard rails, my 5 year old could quite easily open them and with the help of the stools easily lean out.
Unfortunately I would not return to this hotel."
