"When making the reservation I specifically requested a room with no perfume or fragrances. We had to check 3 different rooms before I could find one that had minimum amounts of fragrances. I then had to wipe down everything to get rid of the rest of the fragrances. The air conditioning trickled out air. Two of the rooms didn't even have working air-conditioning. Older Hotel but quaint. "

"My room was very small, BUT it was all I needed. Traveling solo this time, out of the room most of the day, no need for extra amenities. Paid less than $100 per day, in San Diego, near all the major sites, excellent deal. Room was clean, staff was most helpful and polite.
Very minor complaints ... room could've used a microwave oven, and the bathroom sink was very small (easy to splash water all over, and bump your head on the wall if you're just washing your face).

"If you're coming for the "pool", you will be very disappointed. The photos of this place are VERY misleading. The pool is the size of a jacuzzi and is filthy brown color, not blue like the photos. The place is very outdated/falling apart and rooms are TINY!! The A/C didn't work properly and we were hot and uncomfortable all night. Cleanliness was meh. Hair on the pillows and in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was pretty bland and didn't have cream cheese or bagels or a pancake maker. The Lobby...
