The room was not ready. I checked in and received a key and went to my room - to find housekeeping and an open door. (The cleaner told me the man who checked me in thought a traveling nurse made the reservation and I didn’t look like one, he gave me a different room. He thought someone else was still coming for the other room. The one that I reserved and that WAS ready for me.) She seemed to have just started but said she’d only be a few minutes. After maybe 10 minutes, she went to get a vacuum but came back with a key to the room next door to give me instead. It had been cleaned but they had sprayed so there were dead spiders literally everywhere. She decided to just vacuum the original room and have me stay in there. I generally use the tub to soak a lot while I’m there so I asked for a room with a tub that didn’t leak. The tub did have a slow leak and it was not properly cleaned. I used my face wash and body wipes to scrub the bottom and sides out, all to have the water leak out along with my geranium oil. They helped me with a make shift seal but it was a still a hassle. **The previous manager retired** and it’s very obvious they need better help. This small motel was a stand out bc it was always very clean and things were done right. If that changes, they won’t last.
