"The is a cute, quaint hotel with a lot of nostalgia. The rooms are very spacious, comfy beds with plenty of pillows. The location was perfect, we walked around til after 11:00 pm & felt safe. Staff was wonderful. My only comment was we were on the 3rd floor, which was “ok” for us mid 50’s. But if you have bad knees, etc I would make sure to get a room on the lower floor. Parking garage is right across from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again…"

"Beautiful, large room wtih tasteful, thoughtfully-selected furniture and amenities. Location was excellent for visiting the historic landmarks. Media system in room was problematic and did not work over the 5-night visit. Efforts to fix it were unsuccessful."

Excellent location with city hall train station across the street to get to the stadiums. Highly recommend! Walking distance to all. Reading market is one short block away, behind the hotel. There is also a ticketing/boarding stop on the hop on-hop off buses right there by the reading market too."

"This hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Old Town. We were able to visit all the historic sites in the area by foot. Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell are a five-minute walk away. Even Reading Terminal Market was only a 10-minute walk. The parking garage is just a block over and reasonable compared to others in the area. Room was clean and staff was friendly. The building is old and space is tight, but that’s part of its location. All in all, a great place for being a tourist,...

"Upon entering, everything was nice and in order. After looking around, we discovered that there was hair in the bathroom and the shower, the floor was dusty, and the linen was not cleaned. There were stains on the down comforter that was provided. The loft was straightened up, not cleaned. It is a service fee which includes cleaning so it is not the customer’s job to clean up before enjoying the place or before leaving. The WiFi was not the best. It kept cutting out on both TV’s. "I didn't use the Bar, or in-room food service. The coffee set up in the lobby each morning was nice and they even had my almond milk! They went above and beyond and brought a coffee machine up to my room for my last night at the hotel--wonderful! I did a do-not-disturb every other day, and when I let them back in, they left my room spotless. My husband was in the hospital and we didn't know when he would be released. The staff, and a flexible clause, worked with me so patiently as I changed go...

"This is a wonderful place to stay for the weekend. We stayed only one night and if needed we could have stayed long. Next time we are in Philly we will absolutely stay there again. It’s no frills but doesn’t need to be!"

"We stayed during the busy summer season. The city was full of energy with Juneteenth and FIFA events. The hotel staff were very helpful, the free coffee and water machines were great and the location was central. The rooms were a bit small and Rittenhouse Square was about 3 blocks away. There is no pool. The rooms were clean and staff friendly. The hotel is on Chestnut which is a straight shot to Old City Philadelphia and most of the tourist attractions."

"Room was very tiny and the bathroom is poorly designed, but useable. The wifi in the room didn’t work, which was frustrating but I was only there for two nights. Staff was very friendly, it has a cute cafe in the bottom with very patient staff. Centrally located which is a perk but not sure the price justified the room size etc. all in all, a fine experience."

"Everything about staying at this property was a nice experience. From valet parking, you go straight to complimentary drinks once you check in. Staff is very helpful with showing you to your room and carrrying your luggage. During the stay all staff is very helpful and accommodating. There is a nice restaurant on site and a lounge in the lobby at night with a bar and a live dj some nights. There’s also a bar at the roof top pool. The views from the room are breathtaking and everything was clean....
