The location was a bit of a disappointment, as it was a trek into the centre of things. Cheap taxis in Hoi An helped negate the distance problem.
The hotel was undergoing renovations when we were there, which made things a bit messy, but it looks like it will be worth it.
The pool was nice. Small, but handily located right next to the bar. Unfortunately due to rain, we only got to enjoy it once.
I'm not sure I'd bother with the breakfast. We booked our rooms without it, but paid for it the first day. It was a buffet with lots of choices, but only a few things were kept warm, and many things you would expect hot, whether you think they're right for breakfast or not (cold chips and onion rings, anyone?), were sitting there cold. We went to a little cafe on the same side, but in the beach direction (away from town) that was very nice. And another across from that one that was OK. If you put off breaky until you headed in to town, there are many options.
My friends and I were each staying in single rooms.
The rooms had two towels when we got there (made up as swans), but after that there was a strict one towel per person policy, and we kept having to ask for another. Especially in light of the shower spraying all over the bathroom and there being no bath mat.
The staff were very helpful. Not sure I'd recommend their suggestion of preferred tailor. Not sure if they get kick-backs, or their suggestion was genuine, but it was pretty exxy, though the work was pretty good.
