"Accomodation was perfect for us as we were travelling with our small dog. Excellent selection of coffee and teas in the room. Staff were all really helpful and friendly. We had our evening meal in the hotel, whih was excellent, as was our breakfast the following morning. Lovely town to stay in with plenty of pubs restaurants and bars. We will definitely stay again when in the area. "

"Vi ankom tidlig, men fikk sette bagasjen på rommet. Vi ønsket å dra inn til Manchester uten bil, så vi fikk skrevet ut togtider og ble forklart veien til stasjonen. Var tilbake til middag, og hadde heldigvis bestilt bord, for både puben og spisesalen var full. Menyen var variert og fin, maten var veldig god, og det var god stemning. "Extremely comfortable bed and room was large and spotless as was the bathroom. Had an evening meal which was very good and staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was excellent and once again staff were friendly and polite."

"I was very impressed with the Queen's Head. Nice clean room in a great location in Higher Buxton. Housekeeping promptly every day. First-rate full English breakfast included. My only complaint is that the room was rather small. There was no space to have an open suitcase, so I had to stuff it in a closet. That was a little inconvenient. Of course, I realize there is nothing they can do about that. It is an old building, and the room size is what it is."

"I've been to the Abel Heywood for food and drinks many times but this is the first time I've stayed over. It won't be the last time. The room was absolutely fantastic, spotlessly clean, very well appointed - tea makings, a nice en suite and plenty of wardrobe space, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Even though it's located in the heart of the city, the room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommended "
