"We traveled to the Slidell area from Florida with our family of five (2 adults, 3 kids) to look at local real estate, and staying at the Wingate by Wyndham was a fantastic choice. The hotel’s proximity to New Orleans was a fun perk that gave us easy access to the city while staying in a great area.
What impressed us most was how the staff handles unexpected hiccups. Due to a minor room mix-up during our travel time, our original room was no longer available. The staff stepped up immediately, made alternative arrangements without skipping a beat, and provided a discount for the inconvenience. Because of the room change, we needed to request a roll-away bed. After a long 10-hour road trip with three kids, we were blown away to walk into our new room and find the extra bed already delivered, fully set up, and made with clean linens. That thoughtful touch was an absolute lifesaver for tired parents!
Another huge highlight for our family was the amenities. They have a really nice indoor pool and a super hot hot tub that was so relaxing. On rainy days, the pool area provided endless entertainment for the kids and saved the day!
The rest of our stay was just as seamless. The rooms were spotless, the entire team was incredibly friendly and eager to help, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious and continuously restocked throughout the morning.
If we ever find ourselves back in the area, we would absolutely stay here again."
