The only heads up I’d offer others booking is that the cottage is not located directly in Fludir, which it appears on the Expedia booking page. "One of the best apartments we have ever stayed in! Grocery and liquor store less than 100 yards away, so you can take full advantage of cooking meals in the apartment. Rooms were spacious as was the bathroom. Park with frisbee golf, zip line and two "blobs" nearby for the kids to burn off extra energy. There is no laundry, but you can wash in the sink and there is a slight breeze that passes across the balcony and dries the clothes in a day. "

"We had a wonderful few weeks traveling around Iceland. We stayed in many great places- but this was definitely not one of them. This extremely tiny unit had an uncomfortably small bathroom- the shower head was suspended from the ceiling and was a corner of the micro sized bathroom, a quarter sized bathroom sink was too small for even brushing teeth. This unit is suitable for one person, at best, and definitely was tight for a couple. It was also overpriced for what it was- I would not stay...

"This is a fabulous hotel just across from the famous geyser, on the golden circle. We were there only one night and I wish we would’ve had more time there. The rooms are modern, with all the amenities you might need. Everything about the room was exceptional: the bed was very comfortable, the shower had plenty of water, pressure and hot water, and they had blackout curtains to help with the midnight sun. In addition, we thought the restaurant was outstanding. The food was delicious. The service was definitely on point. The location of the hotel is right across the road from one of the major sites on the Golden circle."

"We never heard other guests. It felt really private. The staff was all friendly. The food at the restaurant was great. The breakfast buffet was very good but was the same everyday. "Asked for room upgrade was told not available. Hotel did not look full. Offered free drink, then told wrong drink ordered & had to pay. Room was outside of main hotel in add on units. Beds were OK, small fridge and sink, bathroom very small. Restaurant food good, very limited choices. Hot tub and sauna nice. very nice sitting areas throughout the hotel, probably to view the northern lights. Gym nice. Short drive to most places in the area. "
