"Clean good sized room (Premier King Room), with a nice bath and shower area looking out over the ocean. Also appreciated the 'eco/green' efforts with no consumable toiletries and no bottles of water but water refill machines on every floor. Would definitely stay again."

"Conveniently located a few hundred yards from the Hualien city train station. Dongdamen night market is a 20-minute taxi drive away. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Very clean room. Tasty and filling breakfast. "

"The receptionist was incredibly friendly and her English was excellent, which made communication very smooth. As a cyclist, I was relieved to find a secure place to park my bike in the basement. Although I couldn't try it because I had an early start, they offer a free breakfast from 8:00 AM, which is a nice touch. Regarding the beds, I was impressed by the bunk bed design. Instead of the usual vertical ladder, it had wide, stable stairs next to the beds. It felt much safer and easier to climb, especially in the dark when you're tired. The only downside was the air conditioning—it was freezing in the room. I asked them to turn it up, and while they did help, it was still quite cold. However, that seems to be the case in most Taiwanese hostels. Once I closed the bed curtains and tucked myself into the duvet, it wasn't so cold that I couldn't sleep, so it was manageable. "

"These are rooms in the house where the family lives. It was a bit of a hassle to take off our shoes outside. The room was clean and in better condition than the hotels we've stayed in! The staff were friendly, and communication was seamless via smartphone translator. It's close to the train station and the bus to Taroko."

"I love my stay here the owner was very nice and gave me 2 free rides one to the market and one to the train station. The only thing that was negative was the area there’s an air force base nearby so jets fly nearby and it’s 15 minutes walking from restaurants. Those things the owner can’t change so therefore I will still rate it a 5 stars. The kindness of the owner made this one of my favorite stays in Taiwan. Highly recommend "
