Overpriced for a premier room - premier regards space and view. Bland decor. Comfortable bed; functional furniture. Spacious bathroom. Had to get some things changed when checked in that should have been picked up by house-keeping; poor cleanliness aspects. Hotel building needs love and attention. Lack of attention to detail. Be advised dogs are allowed in some rooms. Met 1 very excitable dog that was allowed to bound up the stairs.

Excellent customer service......

The staff were excellent and the food very good. Room was clean though crockery and cutlery needs to be checked for cracke, ring marks and coffee stains. Loved the view, even better if the windows were given a good clean and the woodwork painted. Furniture sparse considering the room was larger than my lounge back home. I feel it needs some TLC to come up to the standard of service provided by the staff. If you book an evening meal would suggest not a Sunday as run out of steaks, duck and only one lamb shank. Luckily we had the fish pie which was excellent. Compliments to the chef!!!!

The exterior windows were badly rusted and part broken off. The staff were helpful and pleasant although not always present at reception. Also there was a daily car park fee charged of £6.00 per day.

Sub standard but cheap

Parking not available as very limited spaces that had to be prebooked. Had to park a few streets away and walk down. (Would have booked elsewhere had we known this). Room was very worn and dated (room206). The shower was very difficult to get in and out of due to location in pitched roof. Excellent vegetarian menu on display outside, however this is not yet available so we ate out in the evenings. Breakfast was good. But could have offered more selection. And in general the place needs a freshen up. The location is good and the view from the room was nice if you look past the rotted out window frame. Not sure if we got a bum deal for booking through a third party and just got the dud room(room 206), as it didn’t look like the ones in the booking process , but it was only 300 for 3 nights with breakfast in peak season so for the price we didn’t expect much, but if I’m honest we were a little disappointed when we opened the door to our room.

Very disappointed

Very overpriced for what you actually got. Very warm basic room no air conditioning. Parking you had to pay for even though it wasn’t proper parking ,staff not friendly except the receptionist. Restaurant & bar food closed at 8.00pm on a Saturday night. Very disappointed as we had driven a long way. Won’t stay here again & wouldn’t recommend 😔

Good location. A lift is needed to the second floor, steep and narrow stairs especially hard with bags. The room had been refurbished probably at a house clearance! Dated and poor quality. No where to put bags without having an obstacle course. There was a hair dryer but no where to plug in near a mirror. Bedding worn and torn. Door to bathroom not painted. Shaver point didn't work, towel rail held together with tape. No where to hang hand towel.no sound proofing to the corridor.

Right on the front no need to use the car. Had a room on second floor ,they have no lift and it was a bit of a climb as I'm a pensioner.
