This place is such a beautiful place to stay in Muskoka. Surroundings of trees, water and hotel was a picture-perfect place. The hotel is very clean, food and drinks were great, and hotel service was absolutely 5star. Elevator was in perfect working condition to help move around floor to floor.

Helpful staff, quiet room, great amenities, included breakfast was lovely. The Rousseau restaurant was fantastic, we enjoyed it so much the first night we had to go back the next night. Enjoyed the spa and kayaks available for use on the lake.

Lovely resort located on beautiful Lake Rousseau. The lakeside view from the hotel is spectacular especially in the fall. The room was clean, spacious and lead to a balcony overlooking the lake. Breakfast (included with your stay) offered both hot and cold items in a spacious buffet dining room. I would definitely recommend staying at Windermere House.

This is a superior property that always excells at every aspect of accommodation, service, and dining. Our room was extremely comfortable especially the bed. Dining was a pleasure both for dinner and breakfast. The surroundings outside are second to none and the furniture and amenities complement the natural landscape of Muskoka. We've been staying here twice a year for several years and it continues to amaze me. Certainly Windermere House sets the standard for excellence in Muskoka.

My girlfriend was in town from California and had never been to Muskoka so what better place than Windermere house. The staff was excellent, especially Heather in the pub! She made us feel at home and served up some tasty beverages. Watching the sunset by the fire and the morning Sauna over looking the lake was awesome.

From the moment we walked in till the time we felt very welcomed and pampered by the staff they were so friendly and accommodating and truly made our stay relaxing. The room was clean and comfortable the view from balcony was fabulous. We ate at both restaraunts and had their morning buffet-all was fantastic! Will definitely come back

We had a very nice stay at Windermere House. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our visit. The location is beautiful, and the lake view from our room was fantastic. The only negative was the squeaky floors. We stayed on the second floor, and in the morning we could clearly hear people walking in the room above us, which was a little disruptive. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.
