The place was a bit rustic, but we enjoyed our stay. The attached restaurant was good and served a simple but nice breakfast. The hot water in the bathroom gave off a sulfur odor due to - I think - geothermal heating. Overall, though, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great stay at North West!

Had a lovely one night stay at North West. Great service from lovely staff. Our room was clean and inviting, and the bed comfortable. The food we had in the restaurant was absolutely delicious! I will be dreaming about the parmesan & garlic bread sticks for a long time. The bathroom was small, but no complaints as to cleanliness or functionality.

Solid stopover

Warm welcome. Friendly, family place. Popular with locals and truck drivers. Food portions good and tasty Bedrooms comfortable but bathrooms a little tired. A value for money stopover in a useful location

Right off main highway so was a little noisy at times. It does have a restaurant but any other options are a bit of a drive. Room was very clean but there was an odor in the bathroom. At times it smelt like sulfur and other times like cat urine. For a one night stop it was clean and easy to find. I wouldn’t stay here more than one night. But it did the trick!

This was a great stay for the one night we needed before heading back to Reykjavik! Very convenient as it is right off the 1 HWY, loved that there was a communal fridge upstairs for the guests and the restaurant downstairs was excellent! The bathroom smelled moldy when the water ran...other than that the room was great!

The property was right on Route 1. There's a restaurant on the first floor and they have really amazing food. There are lots of places to go to, but you’ll have to drive by the mountains which all had mostly paved roads.The room itself is clean. There's a common room for coffee and tea, and a fridge that can be used. The staff were friendly.

This was a good stop on the ring road when there are not many options in the north. Room was clean, cozy comfortable and adequate. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was very good. Breakfast was greatly appreciated, but there was not as many options as other hotels we had stayed at previously. Overall a good choice for a one-night stay.
