"Beautiful, compact barn in a beautiful, quiet setting. Has a useable garden too. You will need a car to stay here. Beautifully decorated, enough for 2 adults as its very compact. We had ice cream, eggs, milk supplied which was nice too. Downside is that the check in is late at 4pm and check out is very rigid at 10am, we asked for an extension,even 30mins as we had a baby, but they said no (I did also check and the property did not have anyone coming to stay when we were checking out, so we...

"Mold has taken over the cottage and now everything we took on the trip smells like mildew. I may have to buy replacement suitcases. My cpap machine filter turned black from 4 nights use in that place. I can only imagine what is in my lungs from breathing the air during my stay. We had to keep windows open at all times that we were inside; to keep the moldy smell from making us sick. The antiques are nice to look at but not comfortable to use. "We couldn't have had a more ideal accommodation for our stay with 2 teenage sons. The parking space was invaluable, as parking is an issue in Rye. EV charging at the back of the building opposite. Not the most scenic of settings, but safe and quiet and a few minutes' walk to everything in Rye. Super well equipped kitchen. Family seating in the lounge and very comfy beds. "Well, you get what you pay for. I think this may be a fairly new property and they are certainly in the process of upgrading it so kudos to them for that. PROS: nice looking inside, clean, quiet, felt safe, full kitchen, washing machine, bathtub, private fenced back yard, nice linens and towels, electric kettle, enough kitchen utensils/pots/pans to cook a simple meal CONS: the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in, extremely squeaky upstairs floor and beds, the upstairs is not a King...
