Beautiful cottage, very clean, big enough for 2 people, c/w pull-out sofabed if required. Walking distance to local town ~15mins, all uphill. You have to drive to Monsanto though, another 10 mins away. The driveway to this cottage is very, very narrow - you can only drive 1 vehicle at a time, not for the inexperienced nor faint of heart. It is NOT a one-way system either, beware.

After initial issue all went well and my host was so awesome. Hotel.com website needs to provide location address specific to host location. Especially if there are multiple locations.

After looking again said should contact about check in time but a call worked when there. Road to accommodation was tight and up to parking area was hard. Helpful staff and nice accomadation.

The worst hotel in the world

Non responsible hotel, contact number is not working. No one was presence when I was arrived. Kept bullying on tourist. Shame of Portugal. I had to book another hotel to survive at that night.

Never book there!! We got to the place at 15h30 and no one was there to meet us. We texted the hosts, we yelled “hello” couple of times and after an hour we left and had to book a room elsewhere. We asked for a reimbursement which they refused!! They even argued with us and with an agent of hotel.com. Plus this place says it is from a walkable distance from Monsanto. It is not. We have seen in the comments that it did happen to others. Don’t book there! You’ll see the exchange of messages we had! So infuriating!

This was a gem of a property. There are only 2 units so i was looking forward to a very quiet stay. Essentials were included in the kitchen, coffee, tea, milk, meat, cheese, juice, water, cookies, crackers and toasts. The owner delivers fresh bread in the morning. The pool is brand new and beautiful. We enjoyed the fruit baskets, cheese and crackers left for us and had brought some wine too. The only problem was that this property has other locations which also have use of our pool. This meant lots of visitors, kids and noice. That is my only complaint.

Everything was great! The room was very thoughtfully decorated and furnished. The hostess was super friendly and helpful! She brought fresh bread every morning among many breakfast goodies. We will stay there again without hesitation. Thank you hostess!!!
