The Woodsman Country Lodge

4/10 Poor

"Nice people, beautiful setting. The theme of the decor is kind of cool, homey, and quaint. The condition of the furnishings and decor weren't good. The caulking in the tub/shower was poorly executed and quite moldy. The sink and shower fixtures are quite old and mineral stained. The bathroom overall is very dated. The cleanliness of the carpet was not inspiring. Encountered a big wasp in the room when I turned the light on, managed to kill it without getting stung. The sofa cushions were very worn and repaired with duct tape. I think that it would be cool place to stay if the maintenance were significantly improved. I couldn't likely get my wife to stay in that room but I've stayed in worse places."

Riverfront Inn Roseburg

"My husband and I stayed at Riverfront Inn in Roseburg in May of 2026. The room was clean, decently updated and had everything we needed for our short stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They knew we were from out of town and they even offered suggestions on places to eat. My only complaint is that the mattress was too firm, so I didn't sleep well but that seems to be the trend for motels and hotels these days."

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel was a nice surprise. The room was clean and spacious. Lisa at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast included made-to-order eggs by a cook that has been there for years. There are few restaurants in the town, but Dakota's (pizza) was very good. Otherwise, you might want to stop for dinner before arriving in Sutherlin."

"The front desk was very helpful. Maybe I didn’t research enough, but the listing said there was a restaurant nearby that offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However when we arrived at 5:30 after a long drive, we found the hours for the restaurant were 11-5 and closed Monday-Wednesday. I’m not sure how breakfast and dinner are offered with those hours. We were able to get snacks from the little store attached to the front desk to tide us over. We also did not see in the listing that the cabins do not have tv. My fault to not research better. The bed was comfortable but we were disappointed in our stay. Please research that you want something very rustic and if that is your jam, you will enjoy it."
