"Beautiful location with our rooms looking over Lake Luzern. Friendly staff and good breakfast. On the bus line so very easy to get into Old Town. My only complaint is no air conditioning. There is a fan but it was noisy. We opened a window by the street noise was also loud. We were there in cool weather so summer must be very hot in the rooms"

"Gorgeous view of the lake. Walkable to many restaurants, bakeries, and major shopping is right behind the hotel. Also walkable to the lion monument and the wooden bridge. So much cool architecture to check out around the hotel, not to mention the hotel itself having been built in 1845."

"Although the menu was limited for Americans, the service provided by the staff was exceptional, as well as, the filtered coffee. No coffee machine to operate, just pour and enjoy.."

"When I read previous reviews I thought they were referring to another hotel. I understand that Switzerland is very expensive and the location of the hotel is excellent. However, the hotel falls short. I was under the impression that climate control meant air-conditioning. I was wrong, the room was hot and there were no options to cool it but open a window to the loud street noise and traffic. The breakfast was disappointing. For two of the three days, there was no fruit, zero! Warm yoghurt, scrambled eggs like rubber, very limited options. Room cleaning was also not up to standard expected of a 4 star (mould in the shower). Staff were ok but no-one stood out. Its been a very long time since we stayed in a hotel without a fridge in the room. I could go on and on."
