"Loved it, perfect view and location by the beach. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The building and interior felt a bit old and some renovations is needed but that's all secondary, as I enjoyed the beach and day trips more. You definitely need a car, great with free parking. "

"This was my second time staying here. The first time I stayed on the 4th floor and had no problems; it was comfortable. This time I stayed on the 1st floor, and there were insects and small cockroaches in the room, a foul odor in the bathroom, and the water smelled strange. The spare lock on the door was also broken. I will not be staying here a third time."

"I absolutely loved my stay at the Beach Hotel Sunshine Ishigakijima in Ishigaki. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, the onsen felt private, clean and relaxing and we loved lying by the pool with hotel-provided towels. Best of all, the restaurant staff went out of their way to help me eat gluten-free safely. As someone with celiac disease, this is a rare and very appreciated service. I am so grateful to them for making our family vacation the trip of a lifetime. Thank you Sunshine Beach!"

"Great place to stay in Ishigaki. The pool, spa, and shop were all quite convenient and the hotel is walking distance to the port, shops, and restaurants. My only complaint is that the hotel brings in very large tour groups and so it was always quite busy in common areas."
