Highlight of my Japan trip! The generosity and kindness from the hosts and the luxurious hot spring bath made this a highlight of my trip. I cannot recommend Kokopelli House enough.

We really enjoy our stay in the hotel. Our room was clean and spacious, and bathroom was a top notch with views over the sea and mountains. The hotel is located on the isle and there is a very picturesque walk around it. You can also visit aquarium and marine park to see marine animals.

Owner was absolutely amazing. The shuttle service he provided was a god send. He drops you off somewhere in the morning and picks you up in the evening. He has WhatsApp which is helpful. The dogs are very cute. We got upgraded to a bigger room. The laundry services were great too.

Great hotel, not loads to do in surrounding area but good for a spa retreat

Lovely, clean spacious room with private hot tub overlooking the ocean. Really enjoyed the breakfast - between our party, we tried both the Japanese and Western breakfasts. It was a very authentic, enjoyable experience, with very attentive staff. Nice little pit stop on our drive from Kyoto to Tokyo 🙂

A beautiful, yet very affordable hotel nestled in the coastal village of Usami. Extremely welcoming and helpful owner. Beautiful and well-appointed rooms, all of which overlook the sea. Small swimming pool, private and family onsens also available to use. Have stayed here twice during the week and was thoroughly relaxed throughout. I’ll be going back next year as well! It’s a hidden gem of a place.

Originally we were allocated a room on the 4th floor which was supposedly deluxe. It absolutely was not! We asked for a bigger room and paid the extra and moved to the 11th and top floor! It was then amazing. We had a massive room with separate bedroom with 2 double beds. Large bathroom and an extra loo as well. Amazing views towards Mount Fuji which we saw on one of our days. It is the staff and surroundings that make this hotel. The reception team could not do enough for us. The hotel has an unusual Hawaiian vibe. Be aware that the hotel is dated cosmetically but nothing that dented our enjoyment. The breakfasts were amazing and the best we had during the whole trip.
