Negatives: Pool access: key card did not work; when raised, staff insisted it did rather than resolving the issue. Room facilities: no tea/coffee, no water provided, and fridge not functioning. Ventilation: no effective ventilation, making the room uncomfortable in warm conditions. Temperature control: central heating still active with no ability to adjust, despite ~24°C outside. Bathroom: bath only, no shower — not practical, particularly for elderly guests. Room quality: no balcony, view onto car park, and overall lack of comfort or atmosphere (minimal décor, dated feel). Room allocation: the room felt like one that is used less frequently, raising questions about consistency in how rooms are assigned (e.g. weekday vs weekend stays). "Great experience- unique hotel - staff was excellent for service and provided great area tourist info. The location is great- in a small town, but parking is inside the hotel boundaries. We really enjoyed the terrace with a great view of the Danube- great place to sip and watch the river boats float by. Breakfast was very good as well- made to order items along with buffet items. Although this is a more expensive hotel, it was worth it."
