"We booked this hotel primarily for it’s access to self-service laundry machines. The machines were broken and there was no communication from the hotel. I found out when I enquired at check-in. When I asked when will it be fixed, the front desk said to check the next morning.
I understand that machines break down, but what was unacceptable was that when I called the next morning to check on the status of the machines, the person responding to my inquiry said “I don’t know. I haven’t checked.” This person didn’t offer to check or to call back to let me know.
When I personally walked down to the front desk to ask when the laundry machines would be fixed, they looked baffled and didn’t know that the machines were broken. One person offered a feeble response by saying the machines aren’t maintained by the hotel.
This is a service advertised by your hotel. It’s not right to say the machines are someone else’s responsibility. The hotel guests isn’t the one responsible for tracking down who maintains the laundry machines. This issue put a damper on our stay in an otherwise really nice place."
