"The Good Stuff: Vibe: As an adults-only resort, the atmosphere was [Relaxing / Energetic / Fun]. Perfect for couples or groups looking for a kid-free escape. Room Quality: The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained throughout the stay. The daily housekeeping did a fantastic job. The View: If you can, book an ocean view room! Waking up to the turquoise waters of Montego Bay was the highlight of every morning. Beach & Pools: The beach is beautiful and clean. I personally loved the [Infinity Pool / Swim-up Bar]—the staff there were incredibly friendly and kept the drinks flowing. Service: The staff truly made the difference. They were always smiling and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Tips: Dining: Make your reservations for the specialty restaurants (like the Steakhouse or Asian fusion) early! Location: It's very close to the airport (about 10 mins), which is great for a quick arrival, though you will see/hear planes occasionally. Connectivity: The Wi-Fi worked great throughout the property, even down by the beach. "

"Toby’s is in the perfect location! Its about a 5-10 min drive from the Airport and right at the end of the Montego Bay Hip Strip. You have access to public beaches like Fletchers and private beaches like Doctors Cave) unlimited food options, shoppings, the BEST nightlife (Pier 1, Margaritaville, Taboo, Casino, 27/27) and more. The Staff is exceptional!!! Im Jamaican born in America and literally stayed in most hotel options in the area and Toby’s staff is #1. They aren’t being kind for tips, they genuinely interested in you and your stay. They make you feel like family. I traveled with my mom and my two year old who ran the entire property numerous times a day. Even the guest felt like family. Once you past the front hall you’re in “Community Toby”. They deserve so much recognition. From front desk staff to security to the servers, bartenders, cleaners everyone. Thank you for an amazing few days. With all that being said.. OWNERS DO BETTER! This place has so much potential but EXTREMELY outdated. The rooms do not come with a irons, one room has a full and twin bed, the pool area is still in the 1980s. Hotels can esthetically pleasing and still provide the comfortable low key vibe that I believe “Community Toby” looks for. Cleaning was a bit of an issue as well. I don’t want to say much on that but do better! Overall, Toby’s feels like home. I like to stick to the rivers and waterfalls that Im use to so Ill definitely be back!"

"The ocean was not visible from our room window. You had to go out on the patio and lean heavily over the railing and look to your right to see water"

"We recently stayed at this resort, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The resort was very clean, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This was actually our third time staying here, and we have always enjoyed the atmosphere and service. However, we were very disappointed with the restaurant reservation system. According to the website, reservations open at 8:00 a.m. on the same day, but every time I tried to reserve right at 8:00 a.m., the system showed that everything was already fully booked. This happened several days in a row. During our previous visits, the restaurants operated on a first-come, first-served basis, which worked much better for guests. The new reservation system does not seem to function as advertised, and it was frustrating not being able to secure a reservation despite trying exactly when reservations opened. I hope the resort reviews this system or improves the process so guests can actually access the dining options that are advertised."

"The staff is EXCELLENT! I enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the pool areas. I think they could invest in a full spa. We booked and were under the impression that all three in our party could be serviced at once, but it is more of a one person at a time setting. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay. The drivers they recommended were great as well. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Kingston."
