"The room was clean, and the location was convenient to downtown Dunedin, our room was on the opposite side of the elevator and very inconvenient to get to our door. We could not use the balcony, they were doing work on the outside of the hotel and the dust was all over the outside, we put our bathing suits and T-shirts to dry, and it got ruined. We arrived early and asked for a possible early check-in not granted unless we paid that $10 for every hour before check in time, $10. Don’t buy much...

"The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. The balcony had a nice view of the pool and marina. There were plenty of towels at the pool and it was clean. The location is convenient to walk to the beach and many restaurants and shops. We liked having a refrigerator for dinner leftovers. The floor in the room was not cleaned well as we saw multiple long hairs strewn about. There was also shorter hairs on the desk chair."

"The Avalon was a great spot for our family! It was clean and had kitchen amenities that were helpful- coffee maker, dishwasher, stove top pans, etc. The staff was always hospitable and kind. "Overall it is a great property, we had several meals and drinks at the poolside bar and Monica was great to us. Towels and beach chairs/umbrellas are included, this was a very useful perk. The only issues were with checkin/checkout. I called around 10am the morning of my stay to see if I could check in early. The 1-800 number asks to press a button to update an existing reservation then says you can only make new reservations. I was on hold for over 10 minutes and gave up. When I got to the...

"This is a very clean property. The restaurant and tiki bar both had great food as well. If you’re looking for a property with minimal amounts of children this is not it. Also beach umbrellas were $30 per day that’s not included."
