Unique property located in group of old dwellings in heart of old Kakapetria. Food was great, staff really friendly and helpful. Room was large and quirky due to the age of the building it was in. We really enjoyed our stay.

Stark renovierungsbedürftiges Hotel

Das Hotel liegt schön im alten Dorfteil von Kakopetria. Es ist allerdings stark heruntergekommen. Unser Zimmer hatte einen Balkon, von dem die Küchenlüftung gerade mal 2 m entfernt war. Lärm und Gerüche im Zimmer also inklusive. Das Bett war hart, das Bad ungepflegt und alt, die Einrichtung abgewohnt. Wer gerne Pulverkaffee trinkt und verkohlten Toast ißt, wird vom Frühstück begeistert sein. Der Inhaber vermittelt den Eindruck als sei man ihm lästig.

Kakopetria is a beautiful village. We had a booking for one night, and that was perfect. We ate at Linos Inn, and the food was great. Breakfast was simple, but nice.

Centre of Old Kakopetria

Loved the old world ambience of this little Inn. The room was clean, the staff were helpful and we loved the position. Breakfast was fine, nothing special but still good basic fare and was served at the table. All up we were extremely happy with our choice of hotels.

Cheap, rustic hotel set in old Kakopetria

Cheap accommodation in a pretty village. Various types of rooms available so check which one you want. Good aircon, free wifi that reaches the rooms. Kitchen open all day, live bouzouki when we were there. Some rooms have quaint little balconies. Very friendly staff and accommodating

Άνετο καθαρό και πολύ γραφικό κατάλυμμα

Πολύ καλή εξυπηρέτηση, καλό φαγητό με λογικές τιμές. Το δωμάτιο καθαρό και άνετο. Μας λύπησε το γεγονός ότι νεαροί επισκέπτες κατά την επιστροφή τους στο δωμάτιο αργά το βράδυ μετά τα μεσάνυκτα θορυβούσαν υπερβολικά χωρίς να νοιάζοντε για άλλους επισκέπτες που κοιμόντουσαν.

Door enorm veel problemen met de boeking van het hotels in het Troodosgebergte door Hotels.com was er sprake van een bijzonder rommelige start: zo was het voor het voor het hotel niet duidelijk geweest dat het ging om een gezin met kinderen waardoor de kinderen in het hoofdgebouw lagen en de ouders een apart voormalig arbeidershuisje een straat verderop. Daarnaast verwachtten ze 4 personen ipv 5. Dit terwijl er diverse malen contact geweest is met Hotel.com, o.a. hierover. De kamers konden niet gewisseleld worden vanwege de drukte door een nationale feestdag. Het hotel viel weinig te verwijten dus we we hebben het beste ervan gemaakt. Het hotel ligt midden in de oude wijk van Kakopetria en je bent direct in middeleeuwse sferen. Het hotel koop langzamerhand de omliggende huisjes rond het hotel op, knapt ze op en verhuurt ze als hotelkamer. Apart en leuk. Vanwege het hoogseizoen speelde er elke avond een bandje in het openlucht gedeelte van het restaurant. Ze gingen lang door. De eerste nacht tot na 1 uur 's nachts. Omdat dit op zo'n 10 meter van ons balkon was gaf dit enige overlast. De andere avonden stopten ze wat eerder en waren we er op ingesteld (en was het toch te warm om te gaan slapen). Was het een fijn hotel? Ja (pittorsk gelegen en terug in de tijd) en nee (de muziek en de kamers die heel ver uit elkaar lagen). Over Hotel.com ben ik niet zo positief.

χρειαζεται ανακαινιση

σε γεννικες γραμμες θελει ανακαινηση . δεν εχει το value for money . με αλλα λογια ειναι πολλα τα λεφτα για αυτα που προσφερει . 1. το μεγαλυτερο ατου του δωματιου ειναι το υδρομασαζ , το οποιο ομως λειτουργει κατα το ημιση. φαινεται μαυρισμενο απο την πολλη χρηση ,και αργει να αδειασει . 2 . τα σεντονια απο την πολλη χρηση εχουν φθαρει και απαιτειται αμεση αντικατασταση τους .3 . ο φωτισμος ειναι υπερβολικα χαμηλος , και ειναι παρα πολυ κουραστικο για τα ματια . 4 . παρα την τιμη του δωματιου που δεν ειναι καθολου χαμηλη ενω υπαρχει τζακι , για να το αναψεις πρεπει να αγορασεις εσυ τα ξυλα . 5 . η βρυση του νυπτηρα αν δεν το γνωριζεις και πας να την ανοιξεις βρεχεσαι διοτι ο διακοπτης δεν ανοιγει ομαλα και δεν μπορει να ρυθμιστει ευκολα . εν κατακλειδι , τα δωματια χρειαζονται αμεσα ανακαινηση .

Beautiful hotel stunning area

Hotel manager Yelana was excellent nothing was to much trouble. Room clean and tidy with lovely balcony. As a non smoker the smoking in the eating area was unpleasant but this seemed normal all over Cyprus.

Vi hyrde fyrhjuling, ett bra sätt att ta sig runt och lätt att stanna och fota de underbara vyerna över Troodos. Besöker gärna Kakopetria igen och upplever lugnet på Cypern.

Vollauf zufrieden!

Sehr schöne, urige Unterkunft im alten Teil des Dorfes (etwas schwer zu finden - am besten zu Fuss die Hauptgasse im alten Ortteil runterlaufen), wenige Gehminuten vom Ortszentrum. Das Essen im hauseigenen Restaurant war ausgezeichnet.

An absolute hidden gem

This hotel is an absolute delight. Such a rustic feel about the place and the location is exquisite in old Kakopetria. The hotel is rather hard to find though, Google maps has it in the wrong place. It is easiest found if you search for The Mill restaurant and it is literally in the smallest of alleys to the east on the other side of the stream. The breakfast we were not expecting to be great at all however we were blown away by both the quality and amount. this was only a holiday trip but would not hesitate to stay there again. Though the restaurant does have its own restaurant we elected to have dinner at an Argentinian restaurant just a little bit up the road. The chef/owner is a delight and the food fantastic. Definitely recommend it.
