"We stayed here for 2 nights during a short trip to Hamburg from California to attend a performance at the Elbphilharmonie. For a brief visit built around a concert, the location worked especially well. The neighborhood felt pleasant and walkable, and getting around the city was straightforward. We had rented a car for a day trip outside Hamburg and had no trouble finding nearby street parking for the evening before returning it the next morning. The hotel has a distinctive sense of style and personality. Its musical theme leans more contemporary than classical, though the details gave the space character and made it memorable in its own way. Our room was clean, quiet, and thoughtfully designed, which made for a comfortable stay. One detail we appreciated was the option to decline housekeeping in exchange for complimentary drinks at the bar. We stopped in briefly before the symphony on our first evening and again before heading to the train station at the end of our stay. The espresso martinis were consistently well made and a nice touch. There are a few practical areas where improvements would make a noticeable difference. The room felt warmer than expected, and the air conditioning did not cool particularly well, so we ended up opening the window. We were also surprised that an iron and ironing board were not readily available, particularly for guests attending concerts or other formal events. "After a bumpy start at another hotel that was not wheelchair accessible, we checked in at the Hamburg Marriott Hotel. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. They set us up with a nice and quiet room and provided parking right out front to ensure we could access our vehicle when we needed it. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but had drinks at the piano bar. It was very relaxing and the drinks were delicious. I highly recommend a stay at this location. It is walking (or wheelchair) distance to all the main things you want to see in the Hamburg city center. I will definitely book here first when we go back. "

"Abend um 10 stand auf einmal eine Frau bei mir immer Zimmer und sagte mir, dass dies Ihr Zimmer sei. Zum Glück war ich schon im Bett gelegen und stand nicht unter der Dusche. Am nächsten Tag teilte mir die Rezeption mit als meine Zimmerkarte nicht funktionierte das ich ein anderes Zimmer hätte. Haben trotzdem den Zugang trotzdem wieder erhalten."

"The room is really nice, we have the one with the kitchenette, which was very useful. Breakfast is basic, but good enough. There is a huge supermarket around the corner, which helps. There is a main bus line a couple of blocks away and the S1 around 8 min walk from the Hotel. The S1 connects to the airport. The location is not central, but it was useful for us for what we needed to do. The Reception is at the Moxy hotel, next door and so is the gym. Unfortunately, they've closed some amenities, such as a ping pong table as it seems they need some storage space. Overall, a good hotel, but if you prefer to be more central, perhaps this is not your area. It takes around 20 minutes by bus to get to the centre. We've had no issues with this, but it's not walking distance. We've had a really good experience. "

"This was an interesting new type of hotel stay for us. My mother grew up in Altona in the 50s after the war. I hadn’t been to Hamburg in about 20 years so we decided to visit pre-Christmas for the markets (way too crowded and difficult public transportation during it). The room was well equipped with a refrigerator, induction cooktop, convection oven, deep well sink as well as cookware and utensils. It was relatively quiet and situated. Typical German hard mattress and too many smokers outside every door. I couldn’t live in a city like this, but an occasional visit should only take a few days off my life. "
