"We had a wonderful 3-nights stay at Lamp No Yado Moritsubetsu. We were two couples and took two Japanese-style rooms, both of which were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcome from the start. The setting is beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by lush greenery. "Friendly helpful staff,but that was the best part: the hotel has a drab exterior with extremely dirty windows within a run down locale opposite a disused/derelict building. The inside was functional but uniformly tired and dated. Our room was clean enough but the bedding was stained, the sheets and towels were old and thin. A simple warm air blowing heater kept us comfortably warm (no aircon but not needed in late October). The water went cold after one shower but was hot again by the morning. I...
