"Self check in was easier than I expected. It was just annoying that I had to access my email every time we needed to unlock our room door. It was in a good location, close to many restaurants, but not within walking distance to many of the sights. There was no onsite parking, but we found a parking garage about a five minute walk away for $20 a day. "Didn’t make it. Booked the hotel and a rental car through Expedia. Showed up to get the rental and they didn’t have it. Called every rental car played within a 50 mile radius and all were sold out. Messaged Expedia to let them know and I still got charged for the hotel. So I didn’t get to go on vacation and still had to pay. Thanks Expedia"

"Great stay. Wonderful breakfast. Very helpful staff. Bed was oriented such that the door was higher than the head so we slept with our heads at the foot."

"Room was clean and spacious, breakfast was great, and the staff was super helpful with holding our luggage for the several hours between check-out time and when we needed to leave for our flight."

"The breakfast was pretty good. There was a power outage during our stay and the staff was great. They brought out glowsticks for the kids and flashlights. The power was restored within an hour. The only problem was the elevator acting up and taking a long time. We used the stairs. "

"Apt was great and spacious, its very convenient to Pitt and CMU but entrance is in a side street that feels like an alley and the immediate area doesn’t feel like a neighborhood so that was only downside. Literally 2 min drive to anywhere but prefer to stay where immediate area is more walkable lively community. For the price and space it was great though."

"The place is VERY nice and accommodated everything i had planned with my family. EVERYTHING was there. Beds were very comfortable and hot water in the showers. The kept in communication all the way up to the day leaving. I had family members who are thinking of using this place for gatherings. The pool table and dart board was a nice touch. "

You would think that if a guests room was nor receiving maid service and the guest had to contact the staff multiple times, the manager would care. But not in this case. It has been five days since our check in and not contact from management. "Google Maps does 461 no justice, but FYI, you're right in the middle of bustling, ethnic, college/hospital center North Oakland. A great deal for parents visiting kids at Pitt or Carnegie. Clean. Spacious. Nice amenities. Walkable to many attractions. Alex from 3E was super attentive, in one instance responding in under a minute when we locked ourselves out of the apartment. "

"I actually got the "suite" for a family member and his sons. Unfortunately, the pre-teens became mischievous after my family member fell asleep (after a long funeral service). Security called and texted me several times to let me know about their misbehavior. I understood. What I did not appreciate was the tenor of the persons tone as he threatened a few times to "call the cops," even after I assured him that I had reached my family member. His manner was mean-spirited and ominous. Then again,...

There was absolutely no parking available even though it was stated " plenty of free parking on 39th street" this is just absolutely not true.
