Great Guest House, Location & Host

The guest house is in a great location, south of town on the riverside and just a ten minute walk to the Brewery Arts Centre. My room was large, double aspect, very clean and had a very (too ?) comfortable bed, a brilliant power-shower and also home-made cake and biscuits which was a nice bonus . Yvonne (the host) couldn't be more friendlier and helpful, she emailed me a map showing the pubs, restaurants, things to see etc and a map on how to deal with the one-way system ... and you should believe her map as my garmin sat-nav got it wrong ! I wouldn't hesitate in returning and recommending Lyndhurst Guest House.

Wonderful stay with a really nice, clean room and great breakfast. Parking was easy and Yvonne was a very helpful and friendly host. Highly recommended.

Fantastic

Amazing stay, Owner Yvonne was fantastic, very warm and friendly and funny! Very comfortable rooms and beds and ensuite was great. Really central for trips around the Lake District. Yvonne was very helpful and loaned us some maps of driving routes. All in all a great weekend away, thanks Yvnne, we'll be back xx

Excellent Bnb for Lake District Exploring

Nice BNB on the edge of Kendal town centre. Super welcoming and really good spot to set up a base for exploring the Lakes. Super clean, warm and light. Easy access to the lake district region itself!

Great B&B for visiting The Lakes

Yvonne was extremely helpful and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for her. For example I like my tea kept hot and she produced a tea light heater for me. She has a great sense of humour. Breakfast arrived quickly and to order

An excellent service at a competitive price.

We stayed here for 7 nights during the latter part of August 2021. This was our second consecutive year of holidaying at the beautiful Lake District. The factors that attracted us to this guest house was its competitive price and proximity to the Lake District. We found Lyndhurst Guest House neat and tidy. The landlady, Yvonne, is a bit of a character – never too busy for a chat on almost any subject. She works extremely hard to maintain her standards. We weren't sure what to expect, as this was our first stay at a guest house. Yvonne made us very welcome from the moment we met her (after waking up on the first morning) and was always a text message or phone call away if we needed anything. She truly went the extra mile in looking after us, and truly made us feel like we were at home during our week-long stay there. It was a big contrast to our previous year's experience, when we stayed at an inn at the opposite end of the Lake District. The location (Kendal town) was ideal, as we could drive off and enter the Lake District within minutes each day and spend the entire day exploring and enjoying the many beauty spots that the Lake District has to offer. The only downside – to be fair and honest to fellow holidaymakers reading this review – is that there is no on-site parking. You have to look for parking in the streets around the guest house. However, during our 7 nights, when, per our habit during these particular holidays, we returned to base late, we always found parking

Superb Guesthouse.

Yvonne is such a welcoming host, nothing is too much trouble especially when you make a request for anything. Her breakfast are everything you need to set you up for the days adventures and her home made cakes and biscuits are just lovely. The rooms are clean and all appliances work perfectly { Shower, Kettle, Sockets Etc }.The location is perfectly situated just a short taxi / bus ride from either Oxenholme or Kendal Train Station and close to the City Centre. The Guesthouse is in a lovely spot overlooking the river in a nice and quiet area. We can't thank Yvonne enough for what she does and the hard work she puts in. We will be going back at some point. Lyndhurst Guest House is located in a great area of Kendal along the Kent River. We spent two nights and really enjoyed our time. Yvonne is a wonderful hostess. Two thumbs up!

Lovely!

Such a lovely, welcoming B&B! It was absolutely spotless, the breakfast was delicious, and the attention to detail was second to none - even had homemade cake, shortbread and lemon water in my room upon arrival! B&B is in a quiet location, and my room was overlooking the river - couldn't have asked for more.

Yvonne is a lovely host with a very cute dog. Clean and spacious room, quiet riverside location. Superb veggie and vegan breakfast options - I recommend the homemade pancakes with halloumi and / or tofu bacon plus the homemade granola. We will definitely be back.

Slow Readers in Kendal

Went to a gig at the Brewery Arts Centre & stayed here. Lovely guest house within easy reach of the the town centre. Yvonne who runs the place is unique. This is the only time i have had a truly welcoming email. Proper hands on and really helpful. Great place, really welcoming and a top breakfast. Recommended. If in Kendal again I'd defo go back
