"Comfortable bed & quiet room in spite of a nearby busy road.
Good breakfast.
Just a slight issue with some black (?) coming off the bathroom floor tiles next to the bath, though the sink & bath were spotless."
"Went down to Exeter for a graduation ceremony at the University so stayed at the hotel for one night. I would definitely recommend.
Parts of the hotel are undergoing refurbishment, e.g. the restaurant - but the rooms were well kept, linen and towels all of an extremely high standard . Very clean..

Great consideration also shown to guests, particularly in the warm weather by provision of an air conditioning unit in the room and...
"Left stranded outside the hotel after staff forgot to leave keys, after confirming directly with the hotel manager that we would be arriving late. We never were able to use our reservation and did not stay after paying in full. I called earlier in the day to confirm, and they gave me the lockbox location and code, but upon arrival by taxi (after midnight) there were no keys in the box, leaving us alone outside with no car. I’ve requested a refund from the hotel but they have not responded - I...
"I don’t know who Lord Haldon is, but one thing I know for sure is that he hates everyone who stays at his hotel.
We’ll start with the positives. The views from the garden and parking area are lovely. The bed was clean and comfortable. End of positives.
Both the hotel’s communal areas and our room were extremely dirty, poorly maintained, and in need of a complete renovation. The shower, in particular, was pretty gross and just about dribbled out of the showerhead.
No toilet brush was provided...
"Had a very good stay but we had one issue. The whole water pressure in the bathroom was awful, not easy at all to have a nice shower. The shower head also was leaking."
