"Overall, we had a good stay at The Stella Hotel for three nights. The hotel itself is beautiful, the room was clean, and the location is excellent. It’s within walking distance of several restaurants, and being directly across from an ice cream shop made it easy to grab dessert every evening. Parking was also convenient.
The front desk experience at check-in was a bit disappointing. The young woman workin was not very welcoming or engaging. Had headphones in, and at one point we had to wave just to get someone’s attention. It wasn’t the warm first impression you hope for when arriving at a hotel.
On the other hand, the gentleman working the front desk on Sunday morning completely changed that experience. He was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and professional—exactly what you expect from hotel staff. He deserves recognition for his customer service.
One thing to note is that we stayed three nights and never received housekeeping service. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but it would have been nice to have fresh towels or the room refreshed during our stay.
The bed and pillows were both on the firmer side. If you prefer a firm mattress and firm pillows, you’ll probably be very comfortable. Personally, I prefer a softer bed, but that’s simply a matter of preference.
The rooftop bar was very nice. We did enjoy the comfortable seating and drinks. My husband enjoyed the café as well."
