"Had a great stay. The bed was comfortable, room was clean and spacious, and the property is well located and quiet with a woodsy atmosphere. I had breakfast and enjoyed the waffle maker though the eggs were not great. Wish there had been some fruit to add to the waffles. "
"There are definitely some nice features to staying at the historic inns property. There are also some of negatives.
The staff is very helpful and they come in a timely manner when needed. We were originally in the Maryland house building for one night with a leaky faucet, no elevator, and a note under our door saying they were turning off hot water for up to 14 hours. We were given the option to change rooms to a different building which we took (if there were rooms in another building, why put guests in the one that plumbing services are necessary for?) The toilet was not working but someone was sent quickly to fix it. Today we have a late checkout of 1:00 but we are locked out of the building and room as all keys are automatically turned off at noon. We are again standing outside waiting for staff.
A clean and convenient place to stay with a helpful staff and lots of glitches that need to be worked out."
"The housekeeper on duty the 26th on the 5th floor was an exceptional individual. Pleasant, efficient, and very customer oriented. I would like you to let her know that I listed her here. Unfortunately I did not see her name. The front desk staff was mediocre. I was checked into a double and had reserved a king. She did not tell me this! I had a meeting so no time to change to the room I had paid for! It was odd, really. So they compled my 35$$ parking fee, which is outrageous anyway, frankly. Annapolis does not aspire to 35$ parking. 36$+ wth the tax. Seriously??
Breakfast we waited about 25 minutes for coffee and our order taken. The food was OK, no seasonings, no garnish and poor portioning of side dishes. No silverware with the plates delivered. The waitress seemed overworked even though it wasn't particularly busy. The whole stay was simply mediocre, at best. We come to Annapolis to go to Ram's Head and hear the music at 49 West so this property is a great location. If you comp me a room for my experience so we can try again I'l recover for you with a better review. "
