"I was very frusterated with the check-in process and the staff. We booked this hotel to have 2 queen beds and then at check-in which was just before 10pm at night they tried to tell me that they did not have any double queen rooms available and that I was getting switched into a kind room (which was a less expensive room then the one I booked). Never once did they say anything about me getting money back since they were putting me into a different room then what I originally paid for. I asked to speak to a manager and the girl just kept disappearing for long lengths of time and then would come back without a manager. She did this several times and finally came back saying that they magically found a double queen room after all. It seemed like they were trying to hustle us into a different (less expensive) room type so that they could sell our double queen room to someone else for more money. Once again, they were trying to move me to a king room that was less expensive without offering any type of money back for it. I then asked for a manager to contact me which never happened until I had to ask several times for it. We were supposed to be staying at this hotel again in April for 3 nights and I just canceled our stay and rebooked at the Gault House in hopes of having a better customer service experience.
I will say that the hotel was very clean and looked very nice though, I just was not happy with how the staff handled us and tried to hustle us out of our room."
