"Hotel was nice enough. Directions to our room were not clear at all. Staff talked too fast, too quiet, marked up a map in a sloppy, not helpful way so we roamed the property before having to ask for help. Construction made access to our room with heavy bags challenging as they had to be carried up and down a handful of stairs. It would have been nice to have vending machines available in building 1 not just water and ice. Parking was additional cost and also confusing. Valet staff were the best part of the experience. So nice and helpful!"
"Beautiful property. The rooms were large and clean. The pool is huge. Walking around the property and seeing the gardens is amazing. The only problem was the Luau staff at the hotel. They were very rude and would yell at you to get out of the way, and you were not allowed to stand on your walk back to your room for a minute because you didn't pay for their Luau. Which, btw was mostly filled with people not staying at the hotel."
"We appreciated the staff during our stay—they were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the property itself was not what we expected based on the photos. The hotel appears quite dated and in need of significant maintenance.
There was a strong sewage odor near the pool area during our stay, which made spending time there unpleasant. The hotel was also undergoing extensive fumigation, and many hallway wall panels and trim pieces had been removed, giving parts of the property a partially renovated or unfinished appearance. At times, we were surprised the hotel was operating while this level of work was taking place.
Our room was comfortable and generally clean, but it also showed signs of wear consistent with the rest of the property. Overall, the staff were the highlight of our stay, but the condition of the hotel did not match our expectations or the photos we viewed before booking."
"Feels very family oriented. It is connected to the ocean and pretty to the town center. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but they do provide complimentary valet parking."
"AC did not work on the final night which they admitted on the last night of our stay. Staff was very nice and the resort is beautiful. I would stay there again."
"Not too happy that I paid for the hotel and then had to pay a resort fee and a parking fee.. tourism has destroyed Hawaii and made it the United States cash cow.. it’s ruining everyone’s time here. Unnecessary fees for everything."
