"Rooms are a bit dated but super clean and well maintained. Staff was awesome, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel in Japan. Location is fairly remote, but extremely peaceful, and there are free shuttle busses into Toyooka. Onsen was pretty good and clean. If you are looking for a relaxed time away from the typical tourist bustle, I can highly recommend this hotel. Most guests were elderly and extremely friendly, and it was completely silent at night."

It's close to the town, which has good izakaya and other options if you're not on a meal plan. There is also a Lawson close-by. "Staff unfriendly, No English at all. The center air conditions in my room was no cold air comes out. A small portable air conditioner with very little cold air. The room was very hot . Not even little coffee for me to drink in the morning.
