Enjoy the delights of a pool, soon to be ready gym, decent bar undecisive between reliving the 40's and honouring the today's and of course the excellent cook; truly deserving the title Chef. The mattress may be a bit hard for your liking, however, the night's sleep is guaranteed mosquito free thanks to the good mosquito nets around the bed. "Set near the top of Lubowa hill, Royal Victoria is quiet and very relaxing with a plant filled compound. The staff made me feel at home with daily chats on my needs (meals, etc). It's good value for money for a relaxing break."

"Very bad acces road especially after rain. Away from main road and any big shop. Breakfast was always late and room next to kitchen is a nightmare. No night time so no good sleep for you (noises). Owners are friendly but they need to be more serious about guests. No hot water in shower. Heater broken? No bin bags. Doors and windows are not soundproof like stated on www. Good view on the city may compensate above issues. I would come back but this time only on top floor."

The bathroom was small, but the water heater worked fine. The room was spacious. The balconies were not all finished, but the view of the lake was lovely. "
