Blue Oyster - a hidden gem

Judith is a great host and is ably assisted by Toumbe. Nothing was too much trouble for them, reservations for dinner, information on what to do and where to visit. The house is enormous - we stayed in the Mykonos room which has amazing views over the lagoon and the area is 100% safe. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again

Superb view

A superb stay for 3 nights. The owner Judith runs this place in the most warm way at all. Blue Oyster is placed central in Krysna with fantastic view on the lagoon, the access to Indian Ocean and the Krysna area in general. This rare view can be seen from the rooms, the balcony and from the breakfast restaurant. The team is very very friendly and a personal service is in focus from first to last minute. Not last time to make a visit here.

Superb Stay

Wonderful & accomodating host - thank you for your hospitality. Arrived on a boiling hot day, to a cool airconed room. Left very early & had a packed breakfast for the road

This accommodation has definitely 'a room with a view'. The sight of Knysna from teh hill was perfect in the evening (and morning) sun. The accommodation itself was great, with a fine room, perfect beds, a speckless bathroom, and a great breakfast.

Very friendly and comfortable stay. Judith and her team made us very welcome and looked after us to a very high standard. The views out over the bay are fantastic. Very good breakfast, we will return if we are back in this area shain

Judith ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin, auch die Mädls im Service. Hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon und Blick auf die Lagunen. Frühstück hat gepasst, ebenfalls mit schöner Aussicht. Parkplatz direkt vorm Hotel. Kann ich zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Excellent spot for a holiday

The stay at Blue Oyster was amazing. The hostess, Judith, made contact immediately after I had made the booking. The check-in and check out was without hassles. The hostess and the staff were wonderful, professional, efficient and friendly. I will definitely go back :). It was peaceful and the view from the bedroom was great. Zinlte

Das B&B ist wunderschön gelegen, auf dem Berg hat man eine tolle Aussicht auf Knysna. Das Frühstück war lecker und unser Zimmer und das Bad waren riesig. Wir haben ein Upgrade bekommen, da nicht alles ausgebucht war. Wir haben ein tolles Frühstück und jede Menge Tipps für Restaurants und Unternehmungen bekommen. Da das B&B auf einem Berg liegt, muss man mit dem Auto zur Waterfront fahren, aber es sind dort ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden.

Great Property with Stunning Views

Very much enjoyed our stay at Blue Oyster. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The room was very clean and comfortable with a very spacious bathroom. And the view was magnificent! Also enjoyed the breakfast and informative conversation with the owner and staff. Highly recommended!

Great views of Knysna

I stayed for 2 nights with my father and we had a wonderful stay at the Blue Oyster with comfortable beds and very clean room with an amazing view overlooking Knysna. The homemade breakfast were delicious with another amazing view of the Bay. The location is in a quiet neighbourhood at the top of a hill but it breathtaking views is worth effort. It's less than a five minute drive to the Waterfront where's plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Judith (owner) recommended a great seafood restaurant and the staff were helpful at all times.

Brilliant time at the Blue Oyster

We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Oyster. Judith is so friendly and welcoming and she constantly goes the extra mile to make sure her guests have the best possible time whether it's lending you a plug adaptor or beach parasol or bringing you a jug of iced sparkling water to the pool. She has a great team and Ntombi greets you at breakfast every morning with a big smile and advice on places to go around Knysna. Breakfast is delicious and includes fresh fruit and a hot breakfast with eggs cooked however you choose. The view from the breakfast room (and all around the Blue Oyster including our bedroom) is stunning. Everywhere is tastefully decorated and immaculate. We loved our room and balcony and were so well looked after that we extended our 3 night stay to 5 nights. I would definitely recommend the Blue Oyster - it's a lovely place with exceptional service.

Traumhafter Blick

Wunderbarer Ausblick auf Knysna und die Bucht, sehr ruhig am Berg gelegen. Im Bett allerdings müßte die durchgelegene Matratze ausgewechselt werden. Das Frühstück ist exzellent und der Service sehr gut, freundlich und hilfsbereit mit guten Tipps für jegliche Aktivitäten. Wir würden wiederkommen!

Fantastic view of Knysna!

This was our favourite place to stay on our holiday in South Africa. Judith and her staff were lovely, the room at the top of the house was beautiful, spacious and had fantastic views over Knysna. The breakfast was lovely and the breakfast room had equally stunning views. You are a short drive from the town and harbour where the restaurants are or a 60 rand taxi ride. We loved it so much that we got engaged by the harbour on our second night and we will return. Probably for the honeymoon.

Lua de Mel no Garden Route

Nossa estadia foi de 5 noites no Blue Oyster e adoramos o café da manhã delicioso que era servido. A propriedade fica em um ponto alto da cidade e com isso a vista é incrível dos quartos e da sala onde é servido o café. Infelizmente estava tendo uma obra quando fomos, mas isso não atrapalhou nosso conforto. Fomos informados logo que chegamos ao hotel e a proprietária nos deixou confortáveis para acioná-la se necessário. A única coisa que notamos foi um odor de umidade no quarto no primeiro dia. Depois não sentimos mais.

B&B so wie es sein sollte

Die englisch-südafrikanische Inhaberin führt das Haus auf sehr persönliche Art und mit viel Herzblut. Die Lage hoch oben am Hang über Knysna ist ideal. Man ist zu Fuß in weniger als 15 Minuten in der Ortsmitte und hat beim Frühstück einen fantastischen Blick über den Ort und die Lagune. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

Great Stay with Great Views!

The owner was great and very friendly. The property is located in a very quiet and safe residencial area of the town. The bedroom was huge with a separate walk-in wardrobe and big corner bath, but even better was the private balcony with amazing views over Knysna. The breakfast was outstanding and served in the dining area that also had fantastic views over the town. Nice people, great place, lovely stay! Recommend!
