"The resort had power shut off daily from 10am till 3pm. The safety box did not work. Area to store clothes very limited. The resort is approx 30 yrs old and appears to have nothing done since built. The walkways to cabins are very primitive with very few handrails and some areas the walkways were near high drop offs. The walkways were very scarcely illuminated and wiring was spliced and tapped together and laying across walkways along with water pipes creating trip hazards. I would not recommend...

"My boyfriend and I stayed at Samatha for four nights and really enjoyed our time there. Our room was exactly like the pictures and was very clean. Breakfast was included with our stay (very tasty and great coffee), as well as two free bottles of water and some amenities. The staff here was a very friendly family who were very inviting and welcoming. Samatha is located about 2 minutes from the quieter end of Sairee beach!!
