"We stayed in a standard room in the main building and it was so lovely! The breakfast was awesome and the walk down to the village was convenient. This hotel has a lovely restaurant attached with great food. Zaros Lake is just around the corner. My favorite part was the spring water running down the side of the road. A very lovely village to visit on your trip around Crete."

"The house was a lovely old Cretan house renovated to a high standard, and Popi was a wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable host - really friendly and full of suggestions of where to go next. You will need to have a car to get around as it is not at all central, and do not expect a modern building - but it was full of character and the aircon worked very well, so in my eyes it was perfect! I would happily stay here again, and hope to do so some day in the coming years."

"The food choices were extensive, something for everyone. The staff from the breakfast to upstairs bar to cleaning services were excellent. Everyone was warm & welcoming, plus always wanting to hear what you got to see while visiting their island. The hotel was Extremely clean, the floors sparkled. "Close to the beach & the airport Karteros Hotel is in a great location. It is also 20 mins by bus from the port. WiFi is good, the room is large with lots of plug ports & a good sized bathroom. Breakfast had a wide selection of fruit, salad, hot items, pastries, fruit juice, hot drinks & more. The pool is large but not heated so can be chilly. A lovely one night stay. "
