A little bit far, but beautiful and spacious room.

Overall, a great stay. Nice, spacious, and clean room with all the amenities, including pajamas and slippers. Very comfortable bed. The hotel is a bit far from convenience stores and places of interest, but there’s free coffee and tea at the reception, and the spacious room was great after all the small rooms we've booked.

Very nice hotel, was amazed with the size of the room and amenities provided for the cost. It’s a little distance from the train station but allows to get lost in the local culture/experience. Loved the easy check-in process! Would definitely stay at again!

Best surprise of the trip so far

The best surprise upon leaving the tiny hotel rooms in Tokyo! The room was spacious! Bathroom portion itself was the size of the hotel room in Tokyo. The staff super friendly, best hotel so far in our trip and I even tried to rebook it again for our return to Kyoto in 3 days but no vacancy.

Nice on the outside bad on the inside

Hotel focused to much on aesthetics and edginess with an architectural vibe but missed out on functionality. Very humid in the room when coming back from exploring Kyoto. Weird smell from the poor ventilation. No reception which made it weird since it’s a hotel and not an AirBnB and complicated to get help. The room was not clean, very dusty in some common places. We put ”please clean the room” sign on our door and they barely cleaned it, floor was not vacuumed, bathroom was hardly wiped. We cleaned it more ourselves even though we asked it to be cleaned. Not a lot of space to put your things for a longer stay, even though the room was spacious. Sad since the hotel looked promising.

Clean and simple, modern japanese interiors. Spacious room and bathroom. Terrace kind of useless and it looks directly into another apt building. Staff extremely incompetent. Multiple staff couldn't handle sending my luggage to my next hotel on the correct date and failed to give me a receipt or take payment after asking and confirming multiple times about it. Got to my next hotel, was informed my luggage was taken back by the delivery service because it arrived too early and failed to receive payment. What a major disappointment and upset. Would not recommend to anyone.

京都駅から徒歩でキャリーをひいて歩くなら結構距離あります。 最寄駅は七条や東福寺ですがそちらも15分程あります。 国宝の三十三間堂は目と鼻の先にあります。 夜は静かで周りにコンビニもないです。 観光に出て片道は歩き帰りはタクシー使いました。 部屋は十分な広さでベッドもキングサイズ、水周りも不便なく過ごせました。 チェックイン、チェックアウトもタッチパネルで人と会いません。 チェックイン前にキャリー預けられますが、自分でカギをかけます。数は限られてるので早い者勝ちです。 お値段のわりには立地以外凄く良いホテルだと思うのですが、ベッドに寝た時ふとエアコン上部に視線をやったら埃のかたまりが溢れてました、、 ライトに照らされて大量に、、 見える所は綺麗にしてるのに残念というか気持ち悪かったです。

A little far from all the shops but if you’re looking for a quiet environment with great amenities and staff that is eager and willing to help please check Kyotology out. Definitely choosing this hotel when I come back.

This was a gem of a find! For a minute there I had some regrets staying further out from Kyoto Tower area, but the commute was easy. It's next to a few metro and bus station stops, and there's plenty of Luup e-bikes and scooters to rent. I highly recommend this as biking around Kyoto was one of the highlights of my trip. Just be sure to set up your account before you go e-sim only. Anyways, back to the hotel. It was super spacious (i did w/bathtub), not only for Japan, but in general, and clean. Perfect for my 6 day stay. I've had problems with noisy hotels lately, not here. Very peaceful. Free quality coffee, tea, use of umbrellas, microwave, toaster oven. Sometimes there will be an attendant at the desk. All in all I would 100000% book here again.

Just remember to read the description of the Hotel it is not staffed 24/7. You can call someone in case of a problem. Just don’t take it out on the cleaning crew.
