The owners are so nice and thoughtful. Always greeting us on our return. The public bath is nice and the breakfast is delicious. The location is perfect. Very close to Nishiki market and walkable to the Gion. We always enjoy our stay here and can’t wait to return.

Comfortable Ryokan in Kyoto

Very friendly and sweet couple running the ryokan. The made you feel like you were home. The ryokan was very clean and the rooms were spacious. We appreciated the private bathroom and also used the public bath. They provided hot water and tea along with wonderful cookies. We really like the location which was adjacent to Nishiki Market. We would definitely stay here again.

This was an amazing place! We had never stayed in a Royal con before, and very glad we chose this location. The owners were extremely friendly, and the room was very comfortable. The owner was so nice and greeted us upon arrival. It felt like an authentic experience staying in this ryokan… it’s also like a 10 second walk to the bustling market which was really cool. I recommend this hotel and I’d stay here again.

Ryokan experience in Kyoto

Excellent service great place to have a traditional Ryokan experience, location is walking distance from some attractions and markets. Just be aware that is not a conventional hotel, you’ll need to follow some rules like be back before 11:00pm or leave your room keys (even safe key) at the lobby when you’re not there.
