Amazing resort and staff! We visited for our honeymoon and had a great time. Never seen anything like the hot springs before. Francisco cooks great food at the breakfast bar and is super friendly. The staffs attention to detail and service was unmatched. Everything was fantastic and we couldn’t have asked for a better trip.

Just returned from a stay at Tabacón. No lengthy review necessary it’s a perfect place to stay when in the Fortuna/Arenal area. The hotel has everything you need, is well maintained, great food and a staff beyond friendly and helpful. The room are clean but use a few upgrades here and there (tv in one room was dated compare with our daughter’s room with brand new tv). That’s a frivolous feature though, the thermal hot springs and the access the hotel provides is wonderful, constant short shuttle ride in a robe and in you are in the sultry spring water and awesome relaxing pools features. Concierge can get you booked in any activity or adventure you desire and there are many. Enjoyed a great 1/2 day boating and paddling onLake Arenal was a treat beautiful scenery and wildlife. Had a really nice stay look forward to returning someday.

We stayed at Tabacón for one night, and it was the perfect way to experience the property. The thermal hot springs are absolutely beautiful and feel very natural, with multiple pools and waterfalls surrounded by lush rainforest. It was peaceful, relaxing, and unlike any other hot springs we’ve visited. The grounds are immaculate, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. My only wish is that we had stayed longer to fully enjoy everything the resort has to offer. If you’re visiting the Arenal area and want a luxury experience immersed in nature, Tabacón is well worth it.

We stayed at Tabacón to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience for our entire family. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. We were welcomed with delicious drinks at check-in and escorted to our room, where we found bathrobes prepared for the whole family—including our two-year-old daughter. We thought this was such a thoughtful and caring touch. The complimentary shuttle service to and from the hot springs was incredibly convenient, allowing us to enjoy the thermal river at our own pace. The hot springs themselves were absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. The breakfast was outstanding, and every staff member we encountered was kind, professional, and attentive. This was easily one of the most memorable experiences of our vacation, and we highly recommend Tabacón to anyone visiting the Arenal area. We would love to return someday!
