A traditional Auberge with gracious hosts. We enjoyed our stay at Auberge La Châtelaine and Laurent and Quentin were very attentive to our wishes. Homemade breakfasts were delicious with local Malbaie specialties. Would highly recommend for those looking for a traditional auberge with wonderful hospitality. Merci Laurent et Quentin.

Delightful stay in La Malbaie

Our stay at Auberge La Chatelaine was wonderful. Laurent is a very friendly and engaging host, helping us with our bags and providing good advice on places of interest, restaurants etc. The room we had is well designed and tastefully furnished with very comfortable beds. The daily breakfast was also delicious. Overall, we are very happy customers.

We had a dormer room with sloped ceiling over the bed. The floor and the bed mattress creaked/groaned; there was too much "stuff" in the room, with too little light. Opening the dormer windows (thankfully with screens) helped and provided a nice view of the river, as well as fresh air (no AC). There was loud music from an entertainment venue nearby on one night. The hosts were very nice and the breakfasts were very good.

an absolutely charming, beautifully decorated with period furniture and furnished property, with terraces, cozy rooms. Attention to detail simply outstanding. The owners are super passionate and have thought of all the details. Breakfast was a work of art art with the local cheeses, jams, fruit, yogurt, eggs, crêpes, and more. I’ll be back. Bravo Laurent!
