"This hotel is close to downtown Catania (about 2 km walk). We were able to choose between a room downstairs or a suite upstairs. We chose the suite because it had a small kitchen and a private terrace. You have to take fairly narrow spiral staircase to get upstairs but this was not a problem for us. Went to get something to eat and on return the first key is street entry, second key is apartment entry and the third key is the one that didn’t work for entry to the room. Waited 20 min"

"I stayed 2 nights at Liodoro, and it was perfect! SUPER quiet, really nice room with a fridge and TV and lovely bathroom (and the bed was super comfy too). The host was great, and very helpful. A really convenient place to stay too - close to so much around the old town. A good base for sightseeing and food too. Lots of nice restaurants and cafes."

"Our host was amazing! So friendly and knowledgeable! This was a palace and is 200 years old. The floors are original and the frescos are 100 years old!! Absolutely beautiful!! We appreciated our balcony to look over the lovely street! Conveniently located, it's in the heart of Catania!! Parking is a challenge! Thanks to our host for showing us a spot!! "Hotel is up a level but there is a lift, however beware there is 5 or so steps to reach the lift if you have any mobility issues. "Too far from the touristy stuff, it was a $20 Uber ride to go anywhere, but the airport was only a 25 minute drive. It’s newly done, all modern, very clean. Staff was super nice. Loved our stay."

"Oversized room with a jacuzzi, however, the system leaked and water seeped into adjacent room. No 24 hour staff, so, you need to be in communication. We left before staff arrived and left the key on the hook with other keys so no security beyond the cameras. The location was ideal as was the price."
